This year-long accredited course will provide you with all the knowledge and skills needed to work as a shamanic practitioner with clients; or to enhance your own personal growth.
You will be safely held throughout the teaching and beyond by a highly qualified and experienced team as you explore all key aspects and teachings of core shamanic practice.
What is Shamanism?
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Themes that will be explored through this teaching:
-Understanding the concepts of core Shamanism
-The importance of sacred space and community
-Developing connection with your guides
-Enhancing skills of various journeying styles
-Safe and ethical holding of space and facilitation of ceremony
-Shamanic chants, drumming and trance dance
-Accessing and working in the lower, middle and upper worlds
-Various forms of shamanic healing:
empowerment journeys; extraction medicine; soul retrieval; past-life healing; divining methods; psycopomp
sweat lodge; soul transition/ deposession; ancestral healing; fairy and land sprit work; space clearing; shadow work
Case studies will be carried out with ongoing supervision for another six months following the course, at which point you’ll be awarded a full Shamanic Practitioner Certificate.
You will also be invited to join our register of Shamanic Practitioners and ‘The Blue Canoe Sacred Circle’.
The Warrior in the Heart Foundation has its own block insurance scheme at Balens Insurance.

This price is inclusive of all tuition, standard residential costs and supervision. Additional costs may apply for special diets and single supplement sleeping arrangements.
A payment plan is available, with monthly instalments of £200.

MEET YOUR FACILITATORS
Howard Malpas
Howard is an experienced Shamanic Practitioner who has worked as a therapist in Psychiatric Hospitals for 22 years, in a pioneering effort to marry ancient healing practices to modern Medicine. He soon realised that it is more a remembering, an ancient knowing, rather than a learning. He has taught Shamanism for 30 years and is a director of the Avalon Community Centre and the UK Shamanic Gathering.
Dolly Aguilar
Dolly is a holistic therapist, shamanic practitioner, crystal trader, jewellery designer and artist. She holds space for bespoke, intuitive therapies that aim to address the cause of dis-ease at the level of spirit, working with clients to restore balance and reclaim your personal power. She also also trades around the country, selling a wide range of items intended to promote honest holistic healing; from ethically sourced crystals and hand-made jewellery to bespoke artwork, homeware and gifts.
Allison Nunes
Alli combines different shamanic practices and counselling styles when working with her clients in her charity work as well has private practice. She also runs art groups dedicated to empowering people to explore their creativity and find their own language, challenging that critical voice that says “I'm not creative.” She values art , sculpture and words as an essential part of an individual’s healing process and will be joining this training course to guide , encourage and celebrate you on your journey.
